The Second Comforter is to sup in-person and face-to-face with our Resurrected Lord, Jesus Christ, in the flesh. It is to be an eye-witness and hands-on witness that Christ Jehovah, or our Anointed Savior, now has a resurrected physical body which can eat food and drink wine.
The words, "Jesus Christ", is a position or a title or a role in the Holy Priesthood which is translated and means "Anointed Savior".
This experience of Supping with the Lord signifies to you that Jesus Christ considers you to be a part of His family, because families eat together. Seeing Jesus Christ eat proves to you that He has a physical body and has risen from the dead, and it also serves as living proof that it is not Satan who has appeared to you as an angel of light, because Satan does not have a body of flesh and bones and cannot eat physical food. Knowing that you are not dealing with Satan appearing as an angel of light is very comforting indeed, when you see our Resurrected Lord eating food and drinking in your presence. This is something that Satan cannot do, because he doesn't have a physical body. Remember, Satan has created a convincing counterfeit for each one of God's Ordinances. Satan will try to convince people that they can have a Second Comforter Experience "through the veil", or while "in spirit", or "in vision", or "in a dream"; but, that will be one of Satan's counterfeits.
If Jesus Christ can rise from the dead to eat food once again, this is a comforting thought because it means that you too can do the same someday with His help.
The pretenders to this Second Comforter Experience will not sup with the Lord. They will see the Lord in a dream or vision; and thus, they will have no idea whether they are actually seeing the Lord or whether Satan has simply appeared to them as an angel of light. The pretenders also seem to be in the habit of bragging in public about their dreams and visions, and callings and elections; but, there is no way for us to know for sure if they have actually seen the Lord, or just saw Satan as an angel of light in their dreams and visions. For all we know, it was Satan who made their Calling and Election sure.
People who have these kinds of experiences need to be very careful to take the time to discern and learn whether they are dealing with the Lord or dealing with Satan who is appearing to them as an angel of light, as if he were the Lord. Dreams and visions are not as reliable as supping in-person with our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, being able to touch and feel the wounds in his hands and feet, and seeing Him prepare and eat real food. If you sup with our Resurrected Lord, it’s because He now considers you to be a part of his family, and one of His heirs. That, too, is meant to be very comforting indeed.
Revelation 3: 19-22:
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
John 14: 23:
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
The following was a true Second Comforter Experience for all the Apostles who were in attendance:
Luke 24: 36-53:
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
The two disciples on the road to Emmaus experienced a real Second Comforter Experience:
Luke 24: 1-35:
1 NOW upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembered his words,
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
Our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ was known to them in the breaking of the bread. At that very moment, they also knew that they were not dealing with Satan or an evil spirit appearing to them as an angel of light.
In a preparatory sort of way, the Lord can be known to us through the breaking of the bread each Sunday in our Sacrament Meetings.
At Adam-ondi-Ahman, all who are called upon to attend will sup with our Resurrected Lord, in-person, in the flesh. This will be a true and real Second Comforter Experience for each person who attends that great meeting. This will be a truly comforting experience for the attendees, because their invitation to that great wedding feast will serve as notification to them that Jesus Christ considers them to be a part of His eternal family, part of His Kingdom, and part of His True Church.
D&C 27: 1-18:
1 LISTEN to the voice of Jesus Christ, your Lord, your God, and your Redeemer, whose word is quick and powerful.
2 For, behold, I say unto you, that it mattereth not what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink when ye partake of the sacrament, if it so be that ye do it with an eye single to my glory — remembering unto the Father my body which was laid down for you, and my blood which was shed for the remission of your sins.
3 Wherefore, a commandment I give unto you, that you shall not purchase wine neither strong drink of your enemies;
4 Wherefore, you shall partake of none except it is made new among you; yea, in this my Father’s kingdom which shall be built up on the earth.
5 Behold, this is wisdom in me; wherefore, marvel not, for the hour cometh that I will drink of the fruit of the vine with you on the earth, and with Moroni, whom I have sent unto you to reveal the Book of Mormon, containing the fulness of my everlasting gospel, to whom I have committed the keys of the record of the stick of Ephraim;
6 And also with Elias, to whom I have committed the keys of bringing to pass the restoration of all things spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets since the world began, concerning the last days;
7 And also John the son of Zacharias, which Zacharias he (Elias) visited and gave promise that he should have a son, and his name should be John, and he should be filled with the spirit of Elias;
8 Which John I have sent unto you, my servants, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, to ordain you unto the first priesthood which you have received, that you might be called and ordained even as Aaron;
9 And also Elijah, unto whom I have committed the keys of the power of turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, that the whole earth may not be smitten with a curse;
10 And also with Joseph and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, your fathers, by whom the promises remain;
11 And also with Michael, or Adam, the father of all, the prince of all, the ancient of days;
12 And also with Peter, and James, and John, whom I have sent unto you, by whom I have ordained you and confirmed you to be apostles, and especial witnesses of my name, and bear the keys of your ministry and of the same things which I revealed unto them;
13 Unto whom I have committed the keys of my kingdom, and a dispensation of the gospel for the last times; and for the fulness of times, in the which I will gather together in one all things, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth;
14 And also with all those whom my Father hath given me out of the world.
15 Wherefore, lift up your hearts and rejoice, and gird up your loins, and take upon you my whole armor, that ye may be able to withstand the evil day, having done all, that ye may be able to stand.
16 Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, which I have sent mine angels to commit unto you;
17 Taking the shield of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked;
18 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of my Spirit, which I will pour out upon you, and my word which I reveal unto you, and be agreed as touching all things whatsoever ye ask of me, and be faithful until I come, and ye shall be caught up, that where I am ye shall be also. Amen.
Forget about conversing with the Lord through the veil. Those, who have a real Second Comforter Experience, eat and drink with the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ in-person face-to-face while they are awake and have all of their senses about them. There’s no dream or vision or veil involved. It’s a real hands-on physical experience for those who are in attendance; and for the attendees, it takes place for real here on this earth while they are in the flesh. There’s no “being carried away by the spirit” or "conversing with the Lord through the veil", when it comes to a Second Comforter encounter and supping with our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.
In Revelation 3: 20, it says very clearly that our Resurrected Lord will come to us here in the flesh on this earth, sup with us, and that we too will sup with Him. You can't sup with the Lord through the veil, or while you are "in spirit". Furthermore, the experience will be about Him and His resurrection from the dead, and not about you and trying to make your calling and election sure!
The Second Comforter is to have a hands-on witness that Jesus Christ really did rise from the dead and lives again, because our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ will come to you in person, sup with you, and make His abode with you for a while.
Again, this is supposed to be comforting for a variety of different reasons. First of all, if you are supping with the Lord, you will know for a fact that it isn't Satan appearing to you as an angel of light trying to trick you into believing that your calling and election has been made sure. Second of all, while you are supping with our Resurrected Lord, it will become clear to you that since He rose from the dead, it's fully possible for you to rise from the dead someday as well. Finally, while supping with the Lord, it will become clear to you that Jesus Christ considers you to be a part of His eternal family because He is willing to make His abode with you as if you were indeed part of His family.
Over 2,500 people experienced a real Second Comforter Experience as recorded in Third Nephi in the Book of Mormon:
3 Nephi 11: 1-17:
1 AND now it came to pass that there were a great multitude gathered together, of the people of Nephi, round about the temple which was in the land Bountiful; and they were marveling and wondering one with another, and were showing one to another the great and marvelous change which had taken place.
2 And they were also conversing about this Jesus Christ, of whom the sign had been given concerning his death.
3 And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.
4 And it came to pass that again they heard the voice, and they understood it not.
5 And again the third time they did hear the voice, and did open their ears to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof; and they did look steadfastly towards heaven, from whence the sound came.
6 And behold, the third time they did understand the voice which they heard; and it said unto them:
7 Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name–hear ye him.
8 And it came to pass, as they understood they cast their eyes up again towards heaven; and behold, they saw a Man descending out of heaven; and he was clothed in a white robe; and he came down and stood in the midst of them; and the eyes of the whole multitude were turned upon him, and they durst not open their mouths, even one to another, and wist not what it meant, for they thought it was an angel that had appeared unto them.
9 And it came to pass that he stretched forth his hand and spake unto the people, saying:
10 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
13 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
16 And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying:
17 Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did worship him.
There’s no dream or vision taking place here. There is no veil. It’s all being done in-person in the flesh; and, these people became hands-on witnesses of the Lord’s resurrection from the dead.
What does Jesus Christ do in a subsequent chapter? He breaks bread in their presence. Our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ will be known by the breaking of the bread. Jesus Christ makes His abode with these people and sups with them, until they are filled.
3 Nephi 18: 1-25:
1 AND it came to pass that Jesus commanded his disciples that they should bring forth some bread and wine unto him.
2 And while they were gone for bread and wine, he commanded the multitude that they should sit themselves down upon the earth.
3 And when the disciples had come with bread and wine, he took of the bread and brake and blessed it; and he gave unto the disciples and commanded that they should eat.
4 And when they had eaten and were filled, he commanded that they should give unto the multitude.
5 And when the multitude had eaten and were filled, he said unto the disciples: Behold there shall one be ordained among you, and to him will I give power that he shall break bread and bless it and give it unto the people of my church, unto all those who shall believe and be baptized in my name.
6 And this shall ye always observe to do, even as I have done, even as I have broken bread and blessed it and given it unto you.
7 And this shall ye do in remembrance of my body, which I have shown unto you. And it shall be a testimony unto the Father that ye do always remember me. And if ye do always remember me ye shall have my Spirit to be with you.
8 And it came to pass that when he said these words, he commanded his disciples that they should take of the wine of the cup and drink of it, and that they should also give unto the multitude that they might drink of it.
9 And it came to pass that they did so, and did drink of it and were filled; and they gave unto the multitude, and they did drink, and they were filled.
10 And when the disciples had done this, Jesus said unto them: Blessed are ye for this thing which ye have done, for this is fulfilling my commandments, and this doth witness unto the Father that ye are willing to do that which I have commanded you.
11 And this shall ye always do to those who repent and are baptized in my name; and ye shall do it in remembrance of my blood, which I have shed for you, that ye may witness unto the Father that ye do always remember me. And if ye do always remember me ye shall have my Spirit to be with you.
12 And I give unto you a commandment that ye shall do these things. And if ye shall always do these things blessed are ye, for ye are built upon my rock.
13 But whoso among you shall do more or less than these are not built upon my rock, but are built upon a sandy foundation; and when the rain descends, and the floods come, and the winds blow, and beat upon them, they shall fall, and the gates of hell are ready open to receive them.
14 Therefore blessed are ye if ye shall keep my commandments, which the Father hath commanded me that I should give unto you.
15 Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and pray always, lest ye be tempted by the devil, and ye be led away captive by him.
16 And as I have prayed among you even so shall ye pray in my church, among my people who do repent and are baptized in my name. Behold I am the light; I have set an example for you.
17 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words unto his disciples, he turned again unto the multitude and said unto them:
18 Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and pray always lest ye enter into temptation; for Satan desireth to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.
19 Therefore ye must always pray unto the Father in my name;
20 And whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is right, believing that ye shall receive, behold it shall be given unto you.
21 Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed.
22 And behold, ye shall meet together oft; and ye shall not forbid any man from coming unto you when ye shall meet together, but suffer them that they may come unto you and forbid them not;
23 But ye shall pray for them, and shall not cast them out; and if it so be that they come unto you oft ye shall pray for them unto the Father, in my name.
24 Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up — that which ye have seen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed.
25 And ye see that I have commanded that none of you should go away, but rather have commanded that ye should come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall ye do unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandment suffereth himself to be led into temptation.
Supping with our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ in-person here on this earth is an essential and integral part of the Second Comforter Experience. In a Second Comforter Experience, the resurrected Lord comes to them, sups with them, and makes His abode with them.
The Second Comforter Experience is about Jesus Christ, His resurrection from the dead, and not about them! It is clear that Jesus loves them, and that they love Him. Follow the love, not the pride! It's not about the bragging rights for these people, because we never find out who they are.
Notice that in all of the different fake "Second Comforter Experiences", it's always about the human having his ego stroked when Satan, pretending to be Christ, makes that human's calling and election sure and promises that human eternal life. That promise of eternal life is only as good as the person making the promise. If it is Satan who making your calling and election sure, then it's not the least bit binding on God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost!
Notice that in all of the different and fake "Second Comforter Experiences" which you might encounter, that it's always about stroking the human's ego by making the human believe that his calling and election has been made sure and making the human believe that he or she will receive eternal life in the presence of the Father. These fake "Second Comforter Experiences" take place through the veil, or in visions and dreams. There is no breaking of the bread taking place in a fake "Second Comforter Experience", but a lot of stroking and stoking of the ego and the pride of the individual human who is having this vision or dream from Satan, who is appearing to that individual pretending to be The Anointed Savior, Jesus Christ. Satan is lonely. Satan wants to be worshiped. What better way for him to get you to worship him than to make your calling and election sure and to stroke your ego and stoke your pride so that you feel like you are better than everyone else?
Notice how all of the different people who have received a fake "Second Comforter Experience" are online right now bragging about having seen Christ and boasting about having had their calling and election made sure; or, they are writing books about their experience trying to make money off their experiences. It's about them, and not about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. They will try to gather you unto them, and not into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They are false shepherds, wolves in sheep's clothing.
While interacting with some of these false prophets and LDS apostates online, I have had them demand that I prove my street creds by telling them if I have had my calling and election made sure like they have, or have had a Second Comforter Experience of my own like they have had. They don't consider me worthy to speak or post in their presence, unless I have had the same stupendous and sensational spiritual experiences that they have had.
Alas, if they had in fact had a Real Second Comforter Experience or had indeed had their Calling and Election made sure and Sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, then these people would never have asked me if I had ever had such an experience, because they would have indeed been commanded by the Lord to keep their most sacred experiences secret, and they would just know that I would have been commanded to do the same. The Real Deal will never be found online bragging about his or her experiences and demanding that others reveal their sacred spiritual experiences to them; and, the Lord will never command the recipients of a Real Second Comforter Experience to go out and write a book about the subject telling the world that they have seen the Lord.
Whether I have had a Second Comforter Experience or not is between me and the Lord. It's no business of yours! If you want such an experience, the Lord expects you to go out and get your own.
When our resurrected Lord appears in the flesh, sups with you, and abides with you, then you will know that it's a Real Second Comforter Experience; and then, you just know that whatever else takes place in that meeting is in fact binding upon the Lord and God the Father. You will also be told to keep that part of the experience sacred and secret.
John 14: 18-24:
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
Again, to emphasize, during a Real Second Comforter Experience our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ will come to you, let you handle Him so that you can see that He is real and truly rose from the dead, and then sup with you and abide with you as if you are a part of His family.
Notice that it is the Doctrine of Christ, the Principles and Saving Ordinances in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which makes you a candidate for a Second Comforter Experience.
2 Nephi 31: 2-13:
2 Wherefore, the things which I have written sufficeth me, save it be a few words which I must speak concerning the doctrine of Christ; wherefore, I shall speak unto you plainly, according to the plainness of my prophesying.
3 For my soul delighteth in plainness; for after this manner doth the Lord God work among the children of men. For the Lord God giveth light unto the understanding; for he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding.
4 Wherefore, I would that ye should remember that I have spoken unto you concerning that prophet which the Lord showed unto me, that should baptize the Lamb of God, which should take away the sins of the world.
5 And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water, to fulfil all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water!
6 And now, I would ask of you, my beloved brethren, wherein the Lamb of God did fulfil all righteousness in being baptized by water?
7 Know ye not that he was holy? But notwithstanding he being holy, he showeth unto the children of men that, according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father, and witnesseth unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments.
8 Wherefore, after he was baptized with water the Holy Ghost descended upon him in the form of a dove.
9 And again, it showeth unto the children of men the straitness of the path, and the narrowness of the gate, by which they should enter, he having set the example before them.
10 And he said unto the children of men: Follow thou me. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, can we follow Jesus save we shall be willing to keep the commandments of the Father?
11 And the Father said: Repent ye, repent ye, and be baptized in the name of my Beloved Son.
12 And also, the voice of the Son came unto me, saying: He that is baptized in my name, to him will the Father give the Holy Ghost, like unto me; wherefore, follow me, and do the things which ye have seen me do.
13 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I know that if ye shall follow the Son, with full purpose of heart, acting no hypocrisy and no deception before God, but with real intent, repenting of your sins, witnessing unto the Father that ye are willing to take upon you the name of Christ, by baptism—yea, by following your Lord and your Savior down into the water, according to his word, behold, then shall ye receive the Holy Ghost; yea, then cometh the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost; and then can ye speak with the tongue of angels, and shout praises unto the Holy One of Israel.
14 But, behold, my beloved brethren, thus came the voice of the Son unto me, saying: After ye have repented of your sins, and witnessed unto the Father that ye are willing to keep my commandments, by the baptism of water, and have received the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost, and can speak with a new tongue, yea, even with the tongue of angels, and after this should deny me, it would have been better for you that ye had not known me.
15 And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
16 And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved.
17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.
18 And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witnesses of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive.
19 And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.
20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.
21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.
Our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ tells us what His Doctrine is.
3 Nephi 11: 31-41:
31 Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, I will declare unto you my doctrine.
32 And this is my doctrine, and it is the doctrine which the Father hath given unto me; and I bear record of the Father, and the Father beareth record of me, and the Holy Ghost beareth record of the Father and me; and I bear record that the Father commandeth all men, everywhere, to repent and believe in me.
33 And whoso believeth in me, and is baptized, the same shall be saved; and they are they who shall inherit the kingdom of God.
34 And whoso believeth not in me, and is not baptized, shall be damned.
35 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine, and I bear record of it from the Father; and whoso believeth in me believeth in the Father also; and unto him will the Father bear record of me, for he will visit him with fire and with the Holy Ghost.
36 And thus will the Father bear record of me, and the Holy Ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and me; for the Father, and I, and the Holy Ghost are one.
37 And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and become as a little child, and be baptized in my name, or ye can in nowise receive these things.
38 And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and be baptized in my name, and become as a little child, or ye can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God.
39 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine, and whoso buildeth upon this buildeth upon my rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.
40 And whoso shall declare more or less than this, and establish it for my doctrine, the same cometh of evil, and is not built upon my rock; but he buildeth upon a sandy foundation, and the gates of hell stand open to receive such when the floods come and the winds beat upon them.
41 Therefore, go forth unto this people, and declare the words which I have spoken, unto the ends of the earth.
This is the Doctrine of Christ, and it is necessary and preparatory for a Second Comforter Experience. God the Father and Jesus Christ won't let us come up by some other way.
Notice carefully that in a Real Second Comforter Experience, the Lord will manifest Himself to you in the flesh. This is the way that it is always done.
2 Nephi 32: 1-9:
1 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, I suppose that ye ponder somewhat in your hearts concerning that which ye should do after ye have entered in by the way. But, behold, why do ye ponder these things in your hearts?
2 Do ye not remember that I said unto you that after ye had received the Holy Ghost ye could speak with the tongue of angels? And now, how could ye speak with the tongue of angels save it were by the Holy Ghost?
3 Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
4 Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark.
5 For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do.
6 Behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and there will be no more doctrine given until after he shall manifest himself unto you in the flesh. And when he shall manifest himself unto you in the flesh, the things which he shall say unto you shall ye observe to do.
7 And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiffneckedness of men; for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in plainness, even as plain as word can be.
8 And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.
The Doctrine of Christ is faith in Christ, repentance from all of your sins, receiving baptism into Christ's True Church which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands by real priesthood authority, and then being filled by the Holy Ghost and sanctified by the Holy Ghost so that you can speak with the tongue of angels.
Notice carefully that those who have received a fake "Calling and Election Experience" or a fake "Second Comforter Experience" will become Accusers of their Brethren and Judges of their Brethren, will be found preaching false doctrines telling us that we don't need to be baptized into the True Church in order to be saved, be filled with hatred and pride and boasting, will be found gathering a following while lying about doing so, will be found ridiculing and mocking the loyal Latter-day Saints and their Leaders, will be found claiming that they are true messengers from the Father and that the LDS Apostles are fakes and frauds, and will be found leading people away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints into other paths or ways. Satan has become their father. We know this to be so, because Satan is known to be an Accuser of His brethren, and Satan will always lead people away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It will be all about them, and have nothing to do with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ or feeding His sheep.
In the last days, there will be many false prophets; and, by their fruits or their followers ye shall know them. They and their followers will eventually be excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because they will be leading people astray by leading people away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Notice that Satan has a fake or counterfeit version of each one of God's ordinances; and, the recipient will indeed believe that he has received the Real Deal when in fact he has only received the counterfeit.
Notice once again, that those who have received the counterfeit will be online bragging about their experience or writing books about their experience making money off their experience. They will be caught in lies and caught accusing their Brethren and their Leaders of failures and sins. They will be found building a following and trying to lead people away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
From the Lord's perspective, to be led astray is to be led away from His Church and His Saving Ordinances and away from the Keys of His Priesthood. A true prophet of God will never lead you astray, because a true prophet of God will never lead you away from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its Saving Ordinances. This is how you can know and be sure. In the end, the only perspective that matters is the Lord's perspective, and from the Lord's perspective to be led astray means to be led away from His Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its Saving Ordinances.
The Doctrine of Christ is all about the Saving Principles and Ordinances of the Gospel, which are always found in the True Church of Jesus Christ, which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in our particular dispensation and era.
Now, notice carefully what takes place when someone has received a Real Second Comforter Experience. Notice how Nephi says that it will be the Saving Ordinances and the full reception of the Holy Ghost, which will make you a candidate for the Second Comforter Experience. Nephi emphasizes that you will receive "no more doctrine given until after He [the Anointed Savior or Jesus Christ] shall manifest himself unto you in the flesh. And when he shall manifest himself unto you in the flesh, the things which he shall say unto you shall ye observe to do."
Notice, that Jesus Christ or an Anointed Savior will manifest himself unto you in the flesh. He will come and sup with you. After He has manifested himself unto you in the flesh, then there will be more; and, whatever He shall say unto you, you shall observe to do.
Now comes the most important part of the whole deal. Nephi states, "And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance."
Those who have had a Real Calling and Election Experience or a Real Second Comforter Experience will be told to keep their mouths shut and to say nothing about it. If you meet these people, the spirit will let you know that they have had these kinds of experiences, but they will be constrained by the Spirit and will refuse to say anything about the details of their experiences with our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. They will not be told to go out and write a book about their Second Comforter Experiences, and they will not be found online bragging about their spiritual experiences. Instead, they will quietly go about their duty and fulfill their callings within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving and loving Christ's sheep as one of them; and, you won't even know that they had their Calling and Election made sure or had sat and supped with our Lord Jesus Christ as part of His family. The Spirit will stop their utterance and prevent them from saying anything about it. You won't even know that they have ascended higher on the Ladder to Heaven than you have done; but, they will instead humbly serve you and try to help you to rise to their level. Those higher on the Ladder to Heaven will try to serve and humbly help those lower on the Ladder to rise up to their level. They will be your servants and not your Masters; and, they won't quit the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and try to start up a church or a cult of their own.
Supping with the Lord, an Anointed Savior or a "Jesus Christ", is the way that a Second Comforter Experience has always been done.
Genesis 18: 1-8:
1 And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;
2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:
4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:
5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.
7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
Notice that Abraham and his wife supped with an Anointed Savior, a Lord, who had manifested Himself unto them in the flesh. The title, "Jesus Christ", means Anointed Savior. Abraham rightfully called him Lord, or Anointed Savior. This is the way that a true Second Comforter Experience is always done.
In the LDS Church, they have a saying, "Once a Bishop, then always a Bishop". Well this same reality applies to Anointed Saviors -- once an Anointed Savior, then always an Anointed Savior. It's a title, or a position, or a role in the Holy Priesthood. An embodied, resurrected Anointed Savior or "Jesus Christ" appeared to Abraham in the plains of Mamre and supped with Abraham and his wife.
We know from the LDS Scriptures that a Resurrected Anointed Savior will come and sup with us during a Second Comforter Experience, but all other aspects of the experience are kept secret and sacred.
In a Second Comforter Experience, don’t be surprised if our resurrected Lord decides to make you dinner. Notice how Jesus Christ is their servant, not their Master.
John 21: 1-14:
1 AFTER these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
8 And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
Our resurrected Lord is known by the breaking of the bread. There are no night dreams, visions, or being carried away in the spirit when it comes to a real Second Comforter Experience. Instead, the attendees sup with the Lord, or He makes them dinner and eats it with them, as if they are friends and family.
There is no “conversing with the Lord through the veil” when it comes to a true Second Comforter Experience. In a real, full, complete Second Comforter Experience, the veil is gone. There is no veil! He was known of them through the breaking of the bread. He will be known by us through the breaking of the bread.
The whole process will start with the breaking of the bread each Sunday during our Sacrament meetings, and it will end with the breaking of the bread in-person with our Lord Jesus Christ. Each Sunday when we partake of the Sacrament, that experience is supposed to be a practice run for the time when we will break bread with our Resurrected Lord in person.
In our lives, the weekly partaking of the sacrament at the LDS Church each Sunday is supposed to slowly progress to the point where we are partaking of the sacrament (breaking bread) with our Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ in-person. The sacrament each Sunday is supposed to be a preliminary or preparatory Second Comforter Experience for us.
We can also practice and prepare for a Second Comforter Experience by saying Grace and inviting the Lord to be with us during each one of our meals, while we are supping with our family and friends.
