I don't blindly believe. I believe because of the evidence.

I know atheists who blindly believe that God does not exist. They take that leap of faith or make that choice blindly. They can provide no convincing evidence for their claims.

I also know theists who believe in God because they have seen and experienced the things of God. For them, it's not a leap of faith, but a full and complete knowledge that God does exist and that God still speaks to us today.

The quality and the quantity of the evidence (or proof) is all on the side of the theists. In fact, the atheists have no evidence and no proof for their blind leap of faith, yet the atheists demand that we believe them blindly whenever they make the claim that God does not exist.

The Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price are proof of God's existence. They serve as written evidence of God's existence. Living Prophets in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have seen God and talked with God also serve as evidence and proof of God's existence.

I believe, because of the evidence for my belief. It's not a blind faith. It's a studied and intelligent faith. I believe because of the revelations that I have personally received from God. I believe because I know (and know of) Latter-day Saints who have seen God, talked with God, and received revelations from God. We know that God exists because some of us have seen Him and talked with Him and even touched Him.

I believe that God met His burden of proof.

So do many others who have read, studied, pondered, and understood the evidence for God's existence that is found in the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. God has proven that He exists. We just have to be willing to look at the evidence.

The evidence and proof of God's existence is there; but, a person has to be willing to look at and consider the evidence before they will gain the ability to believe in the evidence. Putting one's head in the sand doesn't make the evidence go away, but it does indeed prevent a person from seeing and understanding the evidence that God has given us.

Atheism is a self-imposed handicap; and, the atheists are completely blind to it.

They think they are intelligent and wise, smarter and more logical and more realistic than the rest of us; but, in order to achieve their atheism, they literally have to dumb themselves down, refuse to look and read and study, lie to themselves about their conclusions, stick their head in the sand, develop selective amnesia, and pretend that there is no evidence for God's existence until they truly believe that there is no evidence for God's existence.

Only those of us on the outside, those of us willing to look at and study the evidence for God's existence, can truly see how dumbed down, handicapped, and blind the atheists have made themselves. They are blind to what they have done to themselves, thinking it to be intelligent and wise and genius. Only those of us on the outside, those of us who have found God, can truly see and understand how severely the atheists have handicapped themselves through their unwillingness to look, and see, and learn, and grow.

The atheists handicap themselves by refusing to grow unto God, by refusing to grow unto Godhood. By denying the divinity of Jesus Christ, the atheists lose the ability to become Christ-like, a very severe handicap indeed.

The Bible and Book of Mormon tell us that TRUTH will always lose in the court of public opinion. Therefore, as I see it, if you find yourself with the minority when it comes to all the controversial issues of our day, it greatly increases your chances of being right. The Bible and Book of Mormon tell us that few will find the path to TRUTH, the straight and narrow path to Eternal Life. The majority blind themselves to the TRUTH so they can't even see it when it is presented to them clearly. The majority refuse to even look at the TRUTH. The majority, the court of public opinion, will always stand in opposition to the TRUTH. The Bible predicted that it would be so, and it has been so.
